Music I currently enjoy and why

I’m not the most music-savy person, however I want to share a few songs I’ve been listening to on repeat.

The first I want to talk to you about is Lana del Rey’s Body Electric.

I love this song because it’s the perfect combination of depressed and joyful. Or joyfully depressed. It’s quite sensual, too. I like the chorus especially. Tell me what you think.

Second song is by Two Feet and it’s called “I feel like I’m drowning”.

This is a song about toxic relationships, however the instrumental and this guy’s voice make it so sensual and addictive. I always enjoy songs that are quite sensual and erotic. The video is also beautiful, shows this guy’s journey through relationships (mostly casual) that have left him tasting bitterness and emptiness.

The third song is by a fellow romanian, Alexandrina Hristov, called “Te iubesc” or “I love you”. The lyrics are beautiful, so I’ll try to translate them here.

If you are

whoever you are
If you run
No sense is running
If you come
Or if you go
Who are you?
Whoever you are
If you know
Or understand
Why do you call
When you’re sending it away
You’ll find out
Or perhaps not
If I’ll be coming
When I’m going
If you can see
Or not even that
Maybe you can hear

Something just like th-a-a-a-t
Maybe you’ll fly
Or maybe die
Maybe you have it
But you’re letting it go.

Maybe yesterday

Or maybe today
I knew
But I forgot
I asked about it
And have found out
That the Sun
Is only one
Which me
Which you
Which them
which us
I love you
I love you
I love you
Thank you

As you can see these lyrics are very poetic and somewhat non-sensical although they sort of make sense if you listen/read with your heart.

The fourth and last song I would love to share with you, again a sad sort of sensual instrumental/looped mix. It makes me think of summer nights and falling in love. You probably know it, but here it goes. It’s called Petit Biscuit – Sunset lover.

I hope you’ve enjoyed, and if you did, and would like to help me out, leave me a small donation to keep me writing.
